Use of a sloped roof provides opportunity for a more controlled environmental approach which could also enhance user experience

Judging the proportion of glazing fit for studio working conditions

A large proportion of glare entering the studio space could disrupt the productivity and comfort for the workers

Through adding translucent glazing, a greater control on solar glare can be achieved. This alteration creates more comfortable working conditions

Experimenting with how the roof structure can be adapted in order to receive more natural light.

A variety of spans and structures, though when experimenting with this form on the model, it placed too much load on the columns and buckled easily.

New span doesn't place too much load on one singular column and instead spreads the weight of the roof throughout. This enables a greater beam span.
